The Chinooks Are Here
July 23rd, 2009
Wow, it's been a few months since I've had a second to sit down and tap out a blog..... and there's lots to talk about.
As many of you may well know, the spring freshet is over and the Fraser River water levels have dropped to normal levels and the weather is spectacular. The great news is the Chinook fishing on the Fraser River is in full swing and the Chinook salmon are througout the river system. Our new guide Captain Ken Sheers has been catching Chinook salmon like these lately.
February Fly Of The Month
February 23rd, 2009Welcome back to another fly of the month brought to you by Ultimate Sportfishing Adventures. As February sees the cold snap finally come to an end here on the West Coast, many anglers are drawn to their local streams in pursuit of the premier game fish… The steelhead. This month’s fly is a single egg pattern called “The Glo Bug” it can be used in all water conditions. The Glo Bug is best fished on a dry line using a strike indicator as the take can be very subtle, steelhead and trout simply can’t resist them. Click below to watch the tying instructions.
Grilled Salmon
February 11th, 2009With the lazy days of summer long forgotten, and the barbeque since been covered and stored for winter, let’s not forget about the beautiful salmon fillets that were so carefully vacuumed sealed and put in the deep freeze for a springtime barbeque. Well there’s plenty of great weather in the months ahead, so lets roll out the barbeque and bust out one of your prime salmon fillets and prepare a feast of grilled salmon, try it out I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Step1:
