Sturgeon Report November 7, 2009
The day started off with the typical November down pour of rain, but that didn't keep the fish from biting. The sturgeon fishing was nothing less than spectacular today. The guys Dave, Jeff, Matt and John on my boat hooked 25 sturgeon and boated 20 with a couple of double headers to keep things interesting. Our other boat managed 16 sturgeon to the boat as well, that’s 36 sturgeon in only 6 hours of fishing, can it get any better? We'll find out tomorrow. Fresh Chum Salmon roe was again the bait of choice. The Fraser River always seems to amaze me at this time of the year with big numbers of sturgeon being caught daily.
