This months fly pattern is a local favourite for Coho Salmon and Cutthroat trout; it’s called Kelsey’s Hope. I use this fly extensively when fly fishing for Coho and Cutthroat on the Fraser and Harrison rivers and it seems to out fish most other patterns when the fishing is tough and the fish are finicky. I use a quick short retrieve with this fly as it imitates a darting salmon fry. It’s also a great pattern for targeting Coho Salmon on our costal beaches. Give this fly a try I’m sure you will like the results.
