Sturgeon Fishing Report March 30, 2011
March 30th, 2011Wow......can you say rain or what? The weather wasn't on our side today but we did manage a few smaller sturgeon in the 3-4 foot range. Eulachons were again the bait of choice today. Water temps. are a little on the cool side at 43 deg, F. so we really had to hunt around today to find a few willing takers. The best bite came right at the afternoon tide change.

Aaron is no longer a sturgeon virgin, way to go!

March 22, 2011 Sturgeon Report
March 22nd, 2011Were back from a week of cold and snow in Edmonton. I'd like to thank all of you who dropped by our booth to visit at the Edmonton Boat and Sportsman show and to those that booked trips, we're looking forward to fishing with you all very soon.
Sturgeon fishing has seemed to have slowed in the lower river over this last weekend with the lower water temps., but not to fear fishing should pick up this week with warmer weather predicted.

Fishing Report March 3, 2011
March 3rd, 2011Even with all of this crazy weather we're having lately the lower section of the Fraser River is really fishing well for sturgeon right now. Plenty of fish in the 3-5 foot range with a few 6 footers being caught over the last week. March and April have always proven to be two of the better months for sturgeon, as the water temps are increasing the fish aren’t so lethargic and are actively feeding.
Steelheading on the Vedder/Chilliwack River has been a little hit and miss recently, water conditions are low, clear and cold, but we expect the warmer water temperatures next week to get those sluggish steelies back on the bite. This week the afternoon bite seemed to be the most productive with the best bait being roe, prawns and small pink worms.
