Extreme Fishing With Robson Green

December 12th, 2008

Well we just finished up a television shoot with host Robson Green and the crew of Extreme Fishing. The target fish for this episode was the white sturgeon of the Fraser River. The fishing started off slow but finished with a bang as the leader line snapped on the last fish of the day that was estimated at over 8 ft. long. As Robson’s busy film schedule made it possible to visit Canada from the UK in the normally slow sturgeon month of December, we proved that fishing for these brutes could still be productive even in the colder water temperatures that the Fraser can present. The program is only aired in the UK and should be available in February 2009. All in all the fishing was good as we boated several fish in the 2 1/2'-5 1/2' range and the guys were great. Here’s a link to the “Extreme Fishing With Robson Green” website.

There are only two ways of gaining access to this Jewel that flows it’s glacial waters into the North end of Pitt lake, one is by Helicopter, and if you happen to have a Kings ransom tucked in your fly vest that would be the first choice of travel.
